Besides building web apps, our team builds & maintains a component library, and a collection of in-house tools & libraries which aid in supercharging our day-to-day work.Key Responsibilities:Build - Utilise TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to create user friendly, efficient and beautiful web applicationsCollaborate - Work in multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as backend engineers, data scientists, UX designers & product ownersArchitect - Create features and components with a focus on frontend architecture and design patternsQuality - Provide high-quality UI elementsPerformance - Optimize our web applications for minimum size & maximum performanceUser Oriented - Be empathetic & user focused, implement feedback from users and customersImprove - Make suggestions for better solutions to the problems we faceLearn - Grown with the evolving nature of the web and its new featuresExperience Requirements:Minimum 4 years experience as a Frontend Engineer/Frontend DeveloperGood understanding of frontend architecture and design patternsStrong understanding of JavaScript language & ecosystemGood knowledge of CSS and CSS preprocessors (Sass, Scss, Less)Working knowledge of modern JavaScript features (ES2015 - ES2025)Excellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting & debugging, browser feature compatibilityExperience with any JavaScript view library like Vue, React, SvelteKnowledge of supporting JavaScript tools like Webpack, Vite, CSS ModulesLove Javascript and the webNice to have: Vue 3 experienceTypeScript experienceKnowledge of modern CSS features (grid, flexbox, variables, animations)Knowledge of npm or vite package manager & publishing packagesUnderstanding of mobile-first design, atomic design and progressive enhancementKnowledge of new & emerging browser APIsKnowledge of design software such as Adobe XD, Figma or SketchLife at CalypsoAIAt CalypsoAI, we believe that our people are the driving force behind our success.
