We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to manage and coordinate site activities, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, to the highest quality standards, on programme, and within budget.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with the company Safety Statement and HSQE Management Systems.
Manage and control all on-site health and safety issues, including sub-contractors.
Participate in the preparation and implementation of RAMS.
Deliver daily briefings, SPA's, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
Carry out regular HSQE inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Quality
Review project specifications and drawings to ensure full compliance.
Monitor workmanship, identify and resolve defects, and secure client sign-off.
Raise NCRs where necessary and contribute to lessons-learned processes.
Environmental
Ensure Waste Management Permits are in place for relevant activities.
Oversee works to ensure there is no negative environmental impact.
Planning & Coordination
Manage labour, plant, equipment, and subcontractors on site.
Assist in developing lookahead programmes and ensuring targets are achieved.
Monitor budgets, productivity, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency.
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date site documentation, including site diaries, permits, and labour/plant returns.
Attend internal and external meetings, providing progress updates to Site Agent/Project Manager.
Ensure actions from inspections and audits are closed out in a timely manner.
Commercial Awareness
Monitor site productivity, costs, overtime, and material usage.
Understand the impact of variations, delays, or changes on programme and costs.
Identify and escalate potential commercial risks.
People Management
Supervise and coordinate daily tasks for site teams.
Communicate effectively with staff, sub-contractors, and management.
Resolve site issues promptly to minimise disruption.
Mentor and support team members to encourage professional growth.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' relevant construction experience in Ireland or the UK.
Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Completion of Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Full clean driving licence.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
No sponsorship available – must be eligible to work in Ireland.
