We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our client's finance team in the Cashel area.
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller you will work in a globally recognised business and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining control accounts, and supporting various finance projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in preparing quarterly and monthly accounts, assisting with year-end processes, and liaising with external auditors.
Key Responsibilities: Review and analyse the general ledger to ensure costs are captured accurately and allocated correctly.
Reconcile control accounts monthly and post month end journals.
Prepare Accruals and Prepayments journals quarterly.
Prepare quarterly and monthly accounts for review.
Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
Assist with preparation of audit files for year-end audit.
Oversee Stock Control and assist the warehouse manager with quarterly stock counts.
Manage the Fixed Assets Register Prepare VAT Returns on a bi-monthly basis for review.
Assist with cashflow/budget preparation Assist with IT improvement projects for the finance function.
Other adhoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part qualified or qualified by experience.
Proven experience in management accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software Sage50.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
