Job Type Permanent Full-Time Category Planned Care Location Dublin 18, Dublin City, County Dublin, Ireland Job Details Role Title: Senior Physiotherapist - Women's Health Role Location: Hybrid, Dundrum and Carrickmines A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for Senior Physiotherapist for Women's Health.
The role person appointed to this post will work in the physiotherapy department supporting the women's health clinic.
The caseload will entail management of a variety of common presenting complaints such as.
Pre- and post-natal support and recovery Continence Menopause related issues Pelvic pain Benefits: Excellent company Pension Health Insurance Death in service Income Protection Role Purpose The role holder, as an appropriately trained Physiotherapist, will be responsible for providing examination and treatment programmes to their case loads of clients and will be expected to; Act independently to assess, analyse patients and determine the need for appropriate physiotherapy intervention.
Be responsible for client assessment such as performing pelvic floor assessments, development and implementation of individualised treatment plans that are client centred and in line with best practice.
Effectively manage patients with complex conditions in conjunction with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Utilise a range of physiotherapy skills including manual techniques, self-management advice, therapeutic exercise - group and individual, and patient education.
Carry out the appropriate physiotherapy treatment for each patient with due regard for the Physiotherapy Code of Professional Conduct, as outlined by the CORU.
Be a clinical resource for other physiotherapists.
Communicate and work in co-operation with other team members in providing an integrated quality service, taking the lead role as required.
Liaise with primary care colleagues as a conduit of information and ensure timely referral where appropriate.
Communicate effectively with and provide instruction, guidance and support to, staff, clients, family, carers etc.
Education & Experience Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
or Hold a qualification in Physiotherapy awarded outside of the Republic of Ireland which has been recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU - candidates must state CORU registration number on application or CORU application number and date of submission if still awaiting registration number Have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience Eligible for membership to the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists Womens Health post graduate training is strongly desirable Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values Skills and Abilities High level of professional and personal integrity Experience of developing, applying and reviewing an evidence-based approach to decision making Proficient in navigating IT systems and comfortable using digital platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills.
Proven ability to work effectively and confidently across all levels of an organisation.
Exceptional planning and time management, effectively prioritises tasks and has the ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
Ability to analyse and interpret data to measure success of health and wellness initiatives.
Flexibility to work evenings / weekends as required by the role.
