Job Description
Role: Overhead Lines Worker HV and LV/MV inclusive
Location: Midlands
Hours: 39 hours per week
Rate of Pay: €22.75 per hour
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, repair and refurbish high voltage overhead electrical lines and systems.
* Operate the network to facilitate outages associated with emergency repairs and maintenance of the network.
* Carry out emergency repairs to electrical lines in emergency situations such as lightning, wind, ice storm, or ground disruptions.
* Utilise live working procedures to undertake maintenance and repairs of the network where outages cannot be granted.
* Carry out all works in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, standards, and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
* All relevant H&S accreditation and certification (Safepass, Climbing & Rescue etc).
* Full Drivers Licence - as required.
* Utility Approved Qualified Overhead Lines Worker for 10kV/20kV/LV networks.
* Utility Approved Overhead Lines Worker for all HV networks systems.
* Experience with Fibre is an advantage.
* Ability to climb and work at height (up to 50m) on poles and towers in a safe and professional manner, utilising Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP’s) when required.
