Posted Date: November 27, 2025Kerry | PermanentWhat is the position?The Community Services Manager (CSM) must be suitably qualified and an experienced manager, with responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of the service/s with Resilience in line with relevant regulations and New Directions HSE Policy, Interim Standards for New Directions Services and the National Framework for Person-Centred Planning in Services for Persons with a Disability.Responsible for the operational management and ongoing development of day services supporting adults with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities and ASD. The Community Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for the management and development of day service (s). The Manager may also be responsible for other community-based services within his/her area such as Supporting Independent Living or Outreach services.Location: Listowel, Co. You'll enjoy a supportive environment that helps you realise your own potential, and with access to upskilling and best practice training you'll grow and develop your career.Qualifications & ExperienceQualificationsDegree in Applied Social Studies in Social Care or equivalent/similarA post registration management qualification in health or a related field (desirable)Experience/SkillsA minimum of 2 years' experience in management or supervisory role in the area of health or social careExperience of working in a care environment for adults and children with Intellectual Disabilities and/or AutismStrong IT skillsPossess a full clean driving licence and access to own vehicleAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsKey Function / Service ProvisionAssessment, Personalised Care & Support Plan, Person-Centred PlanningTo carry out assessments as required on people referred to Resilience for health and social care services.To ensure each service users needs are set out in a Personalised Care & Support Plan which is developed in consultation with the individual and relevant others. To review and update plans as and when required but no less than annually.To ensure each service user has an active Person-Centred Plan in line with ' National Framework for Person-Centred Planning in Services for Persons with a Disability.Respect & RelationshipsRespect and always develop internal and external professional relationships.StaffingTo always ensure that the numbers of staff and skill mix are appropriate to the assessed needs of the service users.To enable staff to access training and ensure all staff are certifiably trained and competentTo ensure staff are familiar with the Health Act, the regulation's, standards and Policies and Procedures.Provide staff with 1:1 meetings and keep accurate recordsSupport individual and team performanceAdministrationAbide by the internal and external communication and reporting requirementsAudit and review service user recordsMaintain professional recordsCommunicationDevelop and maintain positive communication links with relevant personnel (internal and external).Maintain positive and welcoming relationships with service users, families, friends, and other service providers if relevant.Communicate effectively any observations/concerns that may affect service users and the safe running of the service.Report any concerns to the relevant authorities within the required timescalesTeamwork/LeadershipTo be an active leader and role model of the team.Contribute to and maintain an effective team.Organise and participate in meetings, reviews and committees as required.Seek and provide guidance from others for work performedWorkplace Health and SafetyTo be aware of and practice the correct use of all aids and appliances and to ensure that staff are always adequately and certifiably trained and competent.Ensure all accidents/incidents are reported and documented in line with internal and external reporting requirements. To review all incidents in consultation with the staff team and Clinical Risk Manager.Be aware and actively promote the company's duty to employees under the Safety, Health and Welfare at work Act 2005Ensure fire and safety precautions are implemented and maintainedPolicies and ProceduresFamiliarise and maintain knowledge and understanding of the relevant organisational and service policies, procedures and guidelines.General Welfare and ProtectionTo make all necessary arrangements to prevent service users from being harmed or from suffering abuse, this will include training of staff and complying with relevant policies and procedures.
