The Affidea Group is a leading European healthcare diagnostics imaging company with 400 staff across Irish clinics. We operate diagnostic imaging and minor injuries centres nationwide, offering advanced imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers, and organizations.

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our team in Sligo/Roscommon.


Responsibilities:

* Operate ultrasound equipment independently and perform diagnostic examinations.
* Manage daily ultrasound schedules, patient appointments, and quality assessments.
* Oversee equipment maintenance, report failures, and maintain records.
* Maintain high medical ethics standards and pursue ongoing knowledge of the field.
* Conduct clinical assessments and ultrasound examinations.
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Apply cognitive ultrasound skills to adapt procedures to anatomical and pathological variations.
* Use judgment to differentiate normal from pathological findings during exams.
* Analyze ultrasound images, correlate with medical history, and communicate findings to radiologists via RIS.
* Coordinate work schedules with the Clinical Specialist/Lead and scheduling desk.
* Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their care.
* Maintain and update Radiology Information Systems and ultrasound equipment.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

* BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or recognized equivalent.
* Valid CORU registration.
* MSc in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred but not essential.
* Valid Driver's License.


Experience:

* 4-6+ years post-graduation experience in Ultrasound.
