Administration Assistant (Grade 3) Permanent Full- Time 35 Hours per week Grade 3An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join the Bon Secours Hospital in Galway, part of the Bon Secours Health System Ireland's Largest Private Healthcare provider.Job PurposeThe role of the Administration Assistant Grade 3 is to work with Medical Records, Admissions and Outpatients, Under the guidance of the Patient Access ManagerThe post holder is responsible for the Preparation/compilation of daily administration tasks for Medical Records and Admissions.Monitor theatre lists in conjunction with booking forms received and follow-up withconsultants/secretaries to request bookings for lists not filled or part- filled.Liaising with Insurance Companies in relation to verification issues.Liaising with internal departments (Nursing, Theatre, Endoscopy, Covid Teams) toensure timely updates are provided in relation to changes to admission and theatre lists.Working closely with Medical Records and Admissions to ensure the smooth transfer ofdocumentation in a timely manner for prospective admissions.Any other duties that may be assigned.Respect and support the right of each individual to dignity in the workplace.To comply with Health & Safety Regulations, ensure safe working practices and attendTraining sessions as requested.Ideal Candidate.Leaving cert/National cert in Business or equivalentRelevant experience in a healthcare settingAbility to deal with general office duties, including proficiency in IT skillsGood Interpersonal skills, numeracy skills Competencies & ExperienceCompetencies:1-3 years' experience in accounts and administrative deptService-oriented and proactive team playerAbility to develop strong co-operative working relationshipsHighly OrganisedAbility to meet deadlines and targetsExperience:1-3 years relevant experience ideally in a healthcare setting in accounts/ Administrative deptClosing date for applications: 5th / January/2026Bon Secours Health System is an equal opportunities employer
