Electrification of transport is a key pillar of ESB’s Net Zero Strategy – reducing the carbon impact from transport and improving air quality while growing our business. ESB operates the largest public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging network on the island of Ireland and is expanding its network and operations in Great Britain. ESB has over 1,000 chargers currently in operation with an ambitious investment program to support the continued growth of its networks.
Reporting to the eCars Manager, the Revenue & Payments Manager is a key member of the eCars management team and has overall responsibility for revenue control and all supplier/lease payments in the eCars business. The Revenue & Payments Manager will also develop the Revenue and Payments team to ensure the right skills and capabilities are available.
The responsibilities include implementing robust reconciliation processes to ensure system and product performance and to identify irregularities, including potential fraudulent activity and debt management. The manager will ensure all payments to suppliers and lease landlords are made according to contractual commitments. Additionally, the manager will oversee eCars internal governance and reporting, supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Risk Control Matrix and Risk Log.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership & Development: Lead and support a high-performing team with diverse skills, fostering development and resilience.
* Process & Internal Control Implementation: Design and implement end-to-end processes and controls for revenue, payments, reconciliation, and debt management across B2C and B2B operations.
* Contractual Compliance & Payment Controls: Ensure payments are accurate, contractually compliant, and governed by a strong control framework.
* Reconciliation Oversight & Fraud Monitoring: Implement reconciliation processes to validate system integrity and detect irregularities or fraud.
* B2B Relationship & Contract Governance: Manage B2B partnerships for compliance and opportunities for improvement, serving as the liaison for contract governance.
* Governance, Risk & Reporting: Support governance by maintaining the Risk Control Matrix and delivering monthly and quarterly reports.
* Cross-Functional Alignment & Financial Accuracy: Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent financial reporting and system alignment.
Experience and Qualifications
o Degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, or relevant field.
o Proven 10+ years experience in related roles.
o Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
o Full clean driving license.
Location
Based in ESB’s offices in Swift Square, with travel across Ireland and the UK as needed, including to suppliers.

The Manager of eCars.
