Job Title
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced VAT Advisory Manager to join our team. As a key member of our indirect tax department, you will play a vital role in advising clients on complex transactions such as property, M&A, and cross-border supplies.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong academic record with a relevant tax, legal, or accountancy qualification, such as ITI/CTA. They will possess excellent technical knowledge of both Irish and European VAT legislation, as well as relevant case law.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising clients on the VAT treatment of transactions, including property, M&A, and cross-border supplies;
* Providing guidance on changes in VAT legislation, Revenue policy, and evolving Irish and EU case law;
* Identifying key risks, threats, and opportunities and optimizing related VAT cash flows;
* Assisting clients with Revenue audits, including assistance with desk audit queries, voluntary disclosures, and negotiating settlements;
* Developing and reviewing VAT recovery rate methodologies and calculations for clients without full VAT recovery;
Requirements
* A minimum of 4-5 years of experience working in a professional tax or VAT environment, showcasing a proven track record;
* Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to understand and address complex business needs;
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively;
