Job Summary
A Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the kitchen.
You'll support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all areas are clean, equipment is maintained, and supplies are well-stocked, helping the kitchen run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and compliant with food hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required (e.g., peeling, chopping).
Empty and clean bins, and handle waste disposal safely.
Clean and maintain kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas.
Unload and organize deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Experience / Person Specification
Must have full legal rights to work in the country.
Evidence will be required
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (preferred but not essential).
Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

1. Practical:
Greet and Feed staff/ guests/residents in a polite and friendly manner
Cooking by the menu
Cleaning of the kitchen after use and maintain a clean kitchen
Food orders as per menu
Work with the menus together with manager on duty
Handle deliveries according to procedure.
2. Customer Relations
Encourage good relations with all colleagues on site
Promptly deal with any queries or complaints from manager
Cooperate with safe working practices (manual handling and safe use of chemicals)
Adhere to all training in relation to cleaning so as to promote the highest standard of safety and hygiene awareness
Have an interest in environment and sustainability initiatives.
Follow all guidelines and training given to you by the supervisor/trainer in the work environment.
3 Training
Part take in induction training for new staff
Part take in ongoing training from ISS internal or external training departments
Cooperate with safe working practices (manual handling/safe use of chemicals etc)
Adhere to all training in relation to food hygiene and cleaning so as to promote the highest standard of safety and hygiene awareness
Follow all guidelines and training given to you by the supervisor/ trainer in the food environment.
Till operation and customer service at point of sale
4. HSEQ
Understand how ISO fits into daily business operations.
Read, understand and work in accordance with the company's HSEQ Policies.
Complete tasks in accordance with company HSEQ procedures and work instructions
Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed on site
Use of Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (w/a)

It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours.
As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required.
Local requirements will govern your patterns and locations of work.
