The Arklow Bay Hotel is an established four star hotel in Co. Wicklow. We are seeking a Part Time Receptionist to join our front of hoouse team.

The Arklow Bay Hotel is a 91 bedroom hotel with stunning Bay Views, & state of the art Conference and Banqueting facilities for up to 450 guests. The Bay Health & Leisure Club offers the latest up to date equipment, swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. The hotel also offers dining options in our Ferrybank Lounge and Pottery Restaurant. Easily accessible, Arklow is 64km from Dublin with both a good road and train network to service it.

About the position:

* Receive and register guests on arrival in line with Company check-in procedures.
* Answer telephone calls promptly in a friendly and professional manner.
* Ensure that all reservations are correctly handled in line with rate management and any other selling guidelines and procedures.
* Ensure that all documentation relating to the registration and checking out of guests is in accordance with Company procedures.
* Liaise with Reservations Department so you are aware of hotel room availability at all times.
* Liaise with Housekeeping Department on a regular basis to inform them of any changes or special customer requirements (cots, extra beds etc..).
* Liaise with Housekeeping Department to ascertain the availability of cleaned and checked rooms which may be required for early check-in.
* Provide information to customers on hotel facilities, services and outlet opening times.
* Be familiar with local tourist attractions, amenities and activities and be able to assist customers with their requirements.
* Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints
* To ensure cash handling and billing procedures are complied with at all times
* Ensure all enquiries and requests are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
* Have a full knowledge of all bedrooms, their location and what they consist of.
* Allocation of arrivals for next day's business.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

* Role would suit someone with previous Hotel Reception experience along with a detailed working knowledge of a Hotel reservations system (e.g. Hotsoft) would be an advantage.
* Fluent English and strong Customer Service Skills.
* Strong command of the English Language
* Basic computer skills are essential whist a working knowledge of Hotsoft is desirable.
* Experience in hospitality would be very beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent Customer Service
* Welcoming friendly personality and manner
* Ability to prioritise and organise work
* Ability to work variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, midweek and weekend
* Ability to work in a fast-paced busy environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €13.55 per hour
