Head Gymnastics Coach and Club Leader required for recreational club in Lucan. Applicant must have a Level 2 gymnastics coaching qualification and 2 years experience in a similar role, at a gymnastics club.
Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, safety-focused, and experienced Gymnastics Coach to lead our growing program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, brings strong leadership skills, and is passionate about creating a fun, positive, and engaging environment for athletes of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of the gymnastics club, ensuring a safe, clean, organised, and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
* Coaching children from age 3 to teens, preparing gymnasts for competitions and events.
* Lead, support, and mentor coaching staff, promoting professional development and a collaborative team culture.
* Lesson planning
* Create and maintain class schedules, training programs, special events and competitions.
* Complete Garda vetting, safeguarding and first aid courses as required.
* Build strong relationships with children, parents, coaches, and the wider community.
* Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and Gymnastics Ireland regulations.
* Manage administrative tasks such as registrations, GI memberships and competitions, communication.
* Promote the club through outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
* At least 2 years previous experience in gymnastics coaching, club management, or a related field.
* Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
* A genuine enjoyment of working with children and supporting their development.
* Commitment to safety, professionalism, and creating a positive training environment.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Enthusiasm, energy, and a proactive approach to running a successful club.
