We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to be based in Dublin 15, with an option of Hybrid work dependant on the suitability of the candidate, some travel may be required.
About the Role
This position is within the fire protection division, knowledge of fire protection systems is not necessary, but a good understanding of mechanical equipment, materials, processes, materials etc. is important.
Responsibilities
* Tendering a variety of large-scale projects in Ireland, UK & across Europe.
* Involvement in full tender process from beginning to completion.
* Conduct in-dept reviews of tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules etc.
* Liaising with relevant parties/supplies/subcontractors.
* Evaluate, analyse & validate supplier and sub-contractor quotations.
* Issue tender RFIs and review client response with Estimating Team.
* Prepare tender review & progress reports for evaluation with Group Estimating Manager.
* Handover of final estimates to Group Estimating Manager & Director.
* Attend meetings and site visits are when required.
Qualifications
* 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Relevant degree qualification.
Required Skills
* Strong computer skills especially in the use of Excel/GSheets/etc.
