Key Account Manager
This role is a remote position, based anywhere in Ireland with regular travel to customers and ProAmpac sites within Ireland (Wicklow & Donegal). The role is responsible for managing new and existing accounts, ensuring budgets are achieved and opportunities for additional growth are realized.
To meet sales targets set by the Sales Director and ensure that customer requirements are communicated and adhered to. Identify opportunities for new packaging formats within the marketplace and liaise with the sales and technical teams to develop new potential products.
To establish and maintain relevant approvals with retailers associated with named house accounts, working closely with the Sales Director to identify new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions. They should be skilled at building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of accounts
* Develop positive relationships with clients
* Resolve conflicts and provide timely solutions to clients
* Maintain regular contact with customers in the UK and European regions and troubleshoot as required
* Advise on packaging or FMCG experience as relevant
* Provide marketing, sales, and product information to existing and potential customers via telephone, email, post or in person
* Act as a link between sales and technical teams with an understanding of production processes for relevant accounts
* Identify and target business development opportunities in home and export markets; visit customers to present and maintain or gain business
* Negotiate new price structures for new and existing customers
* Work with the Sales Director to forecast spend and prepare budgeting information
* Investigate and analyse shortfalls in individual customer expenditure
* Collaborate with Internal Sales Manager and coordinators to meet customer deadlines and requirements
* Produce internal documentation and reports as required by the Sales Director
* Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information
* Maintain Hygiene, Quality and Environmental responsibilities and ensure company standards are met
* Implement and maintain safe working systems to protect personnel and ensure safe operations

* Ability to travel across the UK and Europe as required

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Packaging or FMCG
* Understanding of sales performance metrics
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office
