We focus on the needs of each resident and enhancing their quality of life through exceptional care.
The exceptional people working at this facility form a dedicated team of healthcare and professional staff caring for residents.The successful applicant will be required to always enhance and maintain the highest standards in patient care.
You will be required to contribute to the effective use of all of the care village resources at your disposal, and you will be required to maximise staff development.
This will include support, motivation, and guidance for all employees within your remit.
**Key Responsibilities:*** Lead, manage, and support nursing staff within the unit.
* Oversee resident care and ensure it is safe, effective, and person-centred.
* Promote a **social model of care**, supporting residents' independence, dignity, and quality of life* Monitor quality standards and support continuous improvement in line with HIQA requirements* Ensure effective use of resources and efficient day-to-day operations* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support residents' holistic needs* Promote and safeguard **residents' rights**, including autonomy, privacy, and choice* Support staff development through guidance, supervision, and performance management**Candidate Requirements:*** Registered Nurse on the live register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (any division relevant to the service)* Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, including leadership experience in a clinical or residential setting* Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA standards and healthcare regulations in Ireland* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills* Proven ability to support and manage staff effectively* A recognised management qualification (or working towards same) is desirableAt Bon Secours Care Village Cork, we are committed to providing excellent resident-centred care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
