We are delighted to be working with a leading biologics manufacturing facility in Cork in their search for an experienced Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support site-wide maintenance operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure, efficiency, and continuous improvement to a fast‑paced, high‑tech GMP environment.
You’ll play a key role in keeping a world‑class facility running smoothly, planning and coordinating maintenance activities, partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external vendors, and ensuring the site remains audit‑ready and operating at its best.
About the role
Plan and schedule all maintenance activities across the facility, ensuring smooth coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
Lead daily/weekly scheduling meetings, manage work order priorities, and review Preventive Maintenance plans for accuracy and improvement.
Prepare work packages, forecast workloads, and maintain an accurate backlog through the CMMS.
Scope jobs, assess resource needs, and gather technical documentation to support effective execution.
Support annual shutdown planning, equipment failure investigations, and completion of deviations, CAPAs, and Change Controls.
Develop standard job plans, improve planning effectiveness using metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and administer the site’s CMMS and train new users.
Ensure all activities meet safety, audit, and regulatory standards.
About the person
Strong experience with CMMS systems.
Maintenance planning/scheduling background, or at least 5 years’ maintenance experience in a GMP/biopharma or equivalent environment.
Ability to plan mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Good understanding of cGMP, compliance, and safety procedures.
Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience.
