The Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education has 24 staff and offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, based on its research strengths in Primary and Early Childhood Education in a vibrant learning environment. The mission of the Froebel Department is to prepare and inspire caring educators in their pursuit of excellence in teaching, learning, and research towards the holistic education of every child in a changing Ireland. The department embraces a diverse range of approaches to early childhood education.
The Froebel Department currently offers the following programmes: Bachelor of Education; Professional Master of Education; Master of Education (with specialism in Early Childhood in partnership with the Education Department); Post Graduate Diploma in Inclusive and Special Education; Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Teaching & Learning (Full-time and Flexible); and a Master of Education – Research in Practice.
We are seeking a Researcher or a Research Assistant to coordinate our “Lifting Childminder support and practice in Ireland” research project.
Salary
Research Assistant Level 2: €37,796 – €42,943 p.a pro-rata 0.6FTE 7 points
Post-doctoral Researcher: €45,847 p.a pro-rata 0.6FTE 1 Point
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
