OverviewDay Services Team Lead - CCoI. Camphill Communities of Ireland are seeking a Day Services Team Lead. This is a full-time post requiring strong leadership skills and experience as exemplified through past professional experiences. You will require a sound understanding of the New Directions guidance from the HSE.The core function of the role is to enable people supported to live meaningful lives within their community, helping each person discover their personal gifts, assets and strengths, and to explore how these build into meaningful personal visions with ambitious goals and appropriate supports.A key element of the role is to develop a network of supportive relationships (family, friends, community groups, etc.) and connect this with personal goals, including links to learning, development providers, work and career support.Linked to this is the role of Camphill Communities of Ireland through its local day opportunities hubs, social community aspects, and enterprise opportunities related to craft and land-based activities.This job description describes the roles and responsibilities as currently envisaged and may change over time in light of circumstances or developments within the national disability sector programme.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Day Services Team Lead will lead programme offerings in line with day attendees\' goals and preferences, updating an individual timetable on a quarterly basis and communicating it to all attendees and staff.Lead on building effective partnerships (family, friends, community groups, etc.) and act as a core resource to the service model (e.g., ETB, Area Sports Partnerships, SICAP, Teagasc, Arts Council, Rural Transport/TFI).Work within main legislative and policy frameworks (New Directions, Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse National Policy & Procedure, Assisted Decision-Making Act, etc.).Ensure attendees’ needs, requirements, choices and preferences are facilitated through available resources.Maintain positive working relationships with families and other providers.Monitor the health and wellbeing of attendees and report changes internally and externally as needed.Ensure attendees have a voice through self-advocacy and support groups.Support attendees to participate in activities of interest and create opportunities to try new experiences in the wider local community.Maintain and govern daily activities to meet health and safety requirements, infection prevention and control, and engage with the National Health, Safety & Risk Coordinator on day-to-day documentation, concerns and incidents.Coordinate and communicate with the Person in Charge/National Day Services Lead weekly to document and communicate day-to-day operations, programmes and incidents.Facilitate at least two programmes weekly for day service attendees.Provide key worker support to at least three attendees to aid progression toward meaningful goals in line with New Directions.Attend to daily administrative tasks required for smooth operation of the day service.Oversee staff activities, address HR issues where possible, and coordinate with the Person in Charge/National Day Services Lead.Raise facility and maintenance concerns to the Person in Charge/National Day Services Lead as needed.Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the community and activities.Qualifications, Knowledge & ExperienceMinimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care.At minimum, 3 years\' experience in programme facilitation of services in a day service or residential setting.Good working knowledge of the New Directions frameworks and person-centred planning process.Experience of regulated services for people with disabilities and ability to apply knowledge of best practice.Capacity to deliver in an effective and resourceful manner within a model of person-centred provision.Ability to create, develop and implement individual and day services plans.Ability to facilitate changing needs and improve service delivery.
