In close collaboration with FMC's Global Accounting Centre of Excellence (COE) in Ireland, this role supports the monthly US GAAP close process for FMC's EMEA entities, focusing on complex, judgment-based accounting areas such as revenue recognition, provisions, and other non-standard entries.
It ensures compliance with regional SOX controls on a quarterly basis and addresses control-related issues managed locally.
The role also partners closely with the EMEA Commercial and Finance teams, and supports the Regional Manager in driving process improvements across the region, with an emphasis on standardization and documentation.
What you'll do with us: Partner with FMC's Accounting COE in Ireland to support accurate and timely US GAAP closing processes, including key activities such as revenue recognition, reserves, and accruals Maintain and reconcile local GAAP ledgers with US GAAP results, ensuring compliance and transparency for statutory and tax reporting Support statutory audits and tax audits for France and other assigned entities, collaborating closely with Shared Service Centers and COEs Build and manage relationships with third-party service providers, driving efficiency and quality in service delivery Review and ensure the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and statutory financial statements across the EMEA region Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, internal and external audits, and process enhancements Collaborate with FP&A and commercial teams as a business partner, responding to internal and external stakeholder requests while actively managing deadlines and workload escalation Professionally recognized accountancy qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Fluency in French, with solid knowledge of French GAAP and local compliance regulations Experience working with US GAAP, SOX requirements, and the preparation of statutory accounts Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate within matrix organizations Self-motivated with a curious mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn, particularly within the Ag EMEA business environment Are you ready to make an impact?
