**Job Title:** Care Manager – Children's Service
About the Role:
* To provide quality care for vulnerable young people in a children's mainstream residential service.
* Work as part of a team to create a safe and nurturing environment, focusing on physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
* Implement individual care plans considering unique needs and circumstances.
* Be accountable for supporting the day-to-day running of the service and responsible for delivering person-centred approach.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting service users in their daily lives and choices.
* Communicating effectively with families and colleagues.
* Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborating with professionals for comprehensive care.
* Organising recreational and social activities fostering a positive and inclusive community.
* Handling crises and emergencies following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
Requirements:
* A minimum QQI level 7 qualification in social care.
* Hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting.
* Four years' full-time work experience in a social care setting post-qualification.
