Overview An established manufacturing company in Athlone is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their engineering team. Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment. Diagnose and repair faults quickly to minimize downtime. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance. Approximately 75% preventive and 25% reactive maintenance. Criteria National Craft Certificate (QQI Level 6) in Mechanical Fitting or similar. At least 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing. Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, and rotating equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Reward Hours: Monday-Friday day shift, 39-hour week with flexible start/finish times. Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, plus attractive overtime rates.
