The role involves working in both our Pre-School (ECCE) and Afterschool Programme based at Saggart Schoolhouse Community Centre.
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will hold a QQI Level 5 or 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent) and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our ECCE program Support the operation in the day-to-day running of the classroom
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and implementing an appropriate curriculum in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks
Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Document children's progress, ensuring records are maintained in line with Tusla requirements
Previous experience in a childcare setting, particularly within an ECCE environment, is desirable
Strong understanding of child development and early years education
Support with school collections (Walking School Bus)
Assist with food preparation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A warm, caring, and patient approach to working with children
Garda Vetting is required prior to commencement
Remuneration:
€***** with Level 5 qualification
Discretionary Christmas Bonus
Additional Remuneration with Qualifications:
QQI ELC Level 6: Additional €0.50 per hour
QQI ELC Level 7: Additional €1.00 per hour
QQI ELC Level 8: Additional €1.50 per hour
