The opportunity:
We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance Team, supporting our Real Estate Vertical and reporting to the Director of Finance Operations for Real Estate and our Group Financial Controller.
Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Help maintaining the books and records of all Real Estate SVPs entities.
* Bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable responsibilities.
* Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial and management accounts, financial analysis and commentary on results and Management reports.
* Audit work of all Real Estate SVPs entities which at times may include Group entities.
* Working with both the Group Finance and Real Estate Finance & Operations teams on the production of individual and consolidated Financial Statements.
* Co-Sec requirements including CRO/Companies House filings.
* Tax compliance work including VAT, RCT and Corporation Tax for all RE entities.
* Developing and improving the financial and operational control framework.
* Deal with queries from internal business units and external clients and customers.
* Ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and experience:
* Up to 2 years' experience post qualification, ideally acquired within a commercial Real Estate firm, a Wealth or Asset Management firm, within a multinational organisation or a startup environment.
* Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong ability to work with cross functional teams. Team player with excellent formal and informal communications skills and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and integrate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and reporting skills.
* The role requires excellent commercial awareness, good judgement and exceptional attention to detail.
* Organised and capable of managing multiple flows of information.
* Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
* It is an essential requirement of the role that the successful candidate is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
