Job Purpose Summary
The aims of the Credit Management Services department are to provide professional Risk Management to maximize sales while protecting the business from unnecessary commercial risks, and to ensure the timely collection of balances owed to the company to maximize profits and fund future sales.
Role Responsibilities
* Reduce overdue debtor balances on an ongoing basis in line with monthly targets.
* Perform credit risk analysis, including review and interpretation of credit reports.
* Manage credit control general queries in accordance with SLAs.
* Manage credit limits following credit policy and insurance policy guidelines.
* Drive query resolution through close liaison with all internal departments.
* Maintain proactive and effective communication with all customers.
* Build excellent relationships with customers and account managers.
* Facilitate credit card payments from customers with no agreed credit limits.
* Post and allocate payments accurately.
* Perform ad hoc duties to support the wider business as required.
Additional Responsibilities
* Intermediate Excel skills and good working knowledge of Outlook.
* SAP competency is preferred but not essential.
* Demonstrate problem-solving skills; thinking outside the box is a prerequisite.
* Exhibit excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
* Maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Be numerate with the ability to analyze data.
* Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and targets.
