Job Title: Stock, Sales & Admin Assistant
Location: Galco Dublin Paint Division
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive individual to join our busy paint workshop team. This role is varied and hands-on, involving stock management, sales support, preparing orders and general administrative duties. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining accurate stock levels, and providing excellent service to customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
* Stocktaking & Inventory Control: Carry out regular stocktakes and cycle counts. Receive and check deliveries, ensuring accurate quantities and quality. Maintain organised storage areas and update stock records. Monitor stock usage and report shortages or discrepancies.
* Sales & Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone. Process sales orders and generate invoices. Advise customers on products, colours, and finishes where required. Upsell and recommend additional products/services.
* Administration: Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales, and workshop activities. Prepare and file paperwork, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices. Support management with scheduling, reporting, and general office tasks. Liaise with suppliers to place orders and follow up on deliveries.
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience in stock control, retail, or workshop admin preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Confident communication and customer service abilities.
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, inventory/sales software).
* Ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment.
* A team player with a proactive attitude.
