Financial Controller Leading Hospitality Opportunity About the Role Our client, a well established and highly respected name in the hospitality industry is seeking a commercially sharp and hands on Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for financial oversight, operational support, and commercial analysis. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and operational rigour to a fast paced, customer centric environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of the finance function, from month-end close to year-end audit. Produce accurate, timely management accounts with variance analysis and actionable insights. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support commercial decision-making. Drive cost control and profitability across departments. Develop and enforce internal controls and ensure full compliance with relevant standards. Oversee payroll, AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting. Collaborate closely with the GM and heads of department to improve financial performance. Support growth initiatives with robust financial modelling and business case evaluation. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required. About You: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) or qualified by experience. Minimum 3 years experience in a senior finance role, hospitality sector experience strongly is not essential. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance big picture thinking and detail oriented execution. Confident managing and mentoring small teams. Comfortable working closely with non-finance stakeholders in a dynamic environment. A proactive, solutions focused mindset not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
