Business Development Manager
Our client is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions and innovative technologies that improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints. As a key player in the solar PV and broader renewable market across Munster, they are experiencing significant growth aligned with Ireland’s commitment to combating climate change.
The Business Development Representative will play a vital role in this growth by identifying and engaging potential clients interested in renewable energy solutions, including housing retrofits, heat pumps, electric vehicle charging installations, and solar systems. The successful candidate will manage the full business development cycle—from lead generation and consultation to nurturing relationships and supporting project success.
The Role:
* Identify and research new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
* Build and nurture relationships with homeowners, businesses, contractors, architects, and local authorities.
* Advise clients on the benefits of renewable energy solutions tailored to their needs.
* Prepare and present proposals, including cost-benefit analyses.
* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth project planning and delivery.
* Support contract negotiations focusing on customer satisfaction.
* Stay updated on renewable energy technologies, regulations, and incentives.
* Manage client and project data using CRM and management tools.
* Provide ongoing support to promote client retention and referrals.
* Work with marketing to create sales campaigns and increase brand awareness.
The Candidate:
* Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
* Knowledge of renewable technologies, energy standards, and building regs is a plus.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
* Familiarity with commercial and agricultural sectors is advantageous.
* Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and field tools.
* Financially literate with experience in cost-benefit analysis.
* Highly organized with strong time management skills.
* Passionate about sustainability and renewable energy.
