Part-Qualified Accountant / Accounts Assistant (Public Sector, Dublin City Centre) €38,500 | 6-Month Contract Our client, a progressive public sector organisation based in Dublin city centre, is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant / Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day transactional and operational finance activities.
This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, suited to a finance professional with strong hands-on experience in accounts payable, creditors, staff expenses and bank reconciliations, working in a structured, high-volume environment.
Location: Dublin City Centre (on-site) Salary: €38,500 per annum (pro rata) Contract: 6-month contract, with potential to extend Key Responsibilities Managing creditors and accounts payable, including invoice processing and supplier queries Processing staff expenses in line with public sector policies and procedures Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliations Supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with audits Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure compliant and timely financial processing Essential Requirements Either: Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or Accounting Technician qualified Or: Minimum of 3 years experience in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant role with a relevant NFQ Level 7 qualification in Finance or Accounting Or: A minimum of 8 years experience working in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant capacity Strong hands-on experience in creditors, staff expenses and bank reconciliations High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail Desirable Requirements Experience working in a public sector or regulated environment Familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms Strong Excel skills Ability to manage deadlines in a structured reporting environment Apply: Send your CV to Ben Higgins via the link below.
