Experienced Structural Engineer required for a new role in an established team in Cork. Were representing a long-established and highly regarded Irish engineering consultancy with a strong presence in Cork and across Munster. Due to continued project growth, theyre looking for a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Cork. Sample Projects: Commercial Developments - Retail parks, office buildings, and mixed-use schemes valued Residential Projects - Private housing schemes and apartment developments Educational Facilities - New school builds, extensions, and university campus works Healthcare Projects - Primary care centres, hospital refurbishments, and community healthcare buildings Public & Infrastructure Projects - Local authority civic buildings, bridge upgrades, and road infrastructure Sustainability & Retrofit Works - Energy-efficient retrofits, structural upgrades, and conservation projects Duties: Deliver high-quality structural designs across commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational projects Undertake structural analysis, design calculations, and detailed modelling using standard design software Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design disciplines to achieve coordinated project delivery Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Attend site visits, inspections, and design team meetings Ensure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes Provide technical guidance to graduate engineers and technicians Requirements: Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent) Minimum 2 years experience in structural design (buildings, infrastructure, or both) Proficiency in analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, STAAD, Tedds, Revit, or equivalent) Sound understanding of Irish building standards, Eurocodes, and construction processes Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative design team Based in or within commuting distance of Cork City Salary & Benefits: €40K - €65K DOE and strong long-term career growth Join a respected Irish consultancy with a strong Cork presence Enjoy a genuine mix of project types Hybrid working options once settled in Supportive, people-focused culture that values learning, growth, and teamwork How to Apply If youre a Structural Engineer in the Cork area looking for a new challenge, apply today or email me a copy of your most recent CV.
