Financial Controller Role
This is a senior leadership position that requires a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to lead the financial function of a well-known consultancy business.
About the Job
* As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the Senior Management team, providing financial support to assist the company in achieving its key objectives.
* You will be responsible for the entire Finance function of the company, including financial analysis and insight into operational activities, ensuring a robust control environment and balance sheet integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Working with the CEO and management team to manage the profitability and operational efficiency of the business.
* Production of monthly management accounts for two trading entities (UK & Ireland).
* Weekly rolling Group accounting forecasts.
* Managing weekly Group Cash flow forecast.
* Ensuring the Group is compliant with legislation where it operates (VAT, Revenue, Payroll taxes).
* Working with Project Managers to maximise the profitability of the engagements they are managing.
* Year-end Statutory Accounts and Group Consolidation.
* Manage and develop the finance team.
Skill and Education Requirements
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, CA or ACCA) with relevant PQE, preferably gained in a professional services environment.
* Ability to be hands-on, strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into analysis/information enabling internal stakeholders to understand business performance and make informed decisions.
* A robust individual with excellent communication skills to influence operational Teams and management behaviour.
* Strong project experience, a desire to be involved on projects.
* Experience of system improvements - able to develop new ways of working to streamline operations and remove non-value add activities.
