Job Title: Child Mental Health Specialist
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our service, you will work with children, families, and professionals to deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention services.
About the Role:
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and families using a range of standardized tools and frameworks.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with parents, schools, and other professionals.
* Provide regular progress updates and feedback to parents and carers.
* Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, GPs, and educators to ensure seamless care coordination.
* Contribute to the development of service pathways and protocols during the start-up phase.
Requirements:
* Doctoral qualification in Psychology (Educational, Clinical, Counselling, or equivalent).
* Chartered membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* 1-2+ years post-qualification experience, ideally working with children and families.
* Knowledge of child development, neurodiversity, and evidence-based assessment.
* Strong report-writing and communication skills.
* Garda Vetting (required).
* Desirable Experience in private practice assessments, knowledge of ASD, ADHD, or DCD diagnostic pathways, familiarity with the Irish education system, and experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
