Overview
Senior Manager to head up the Financial Reporting function for a leading provider of investment fund services. This client-facing leadership role drives operational excellence, oversees financial statement production, manages client audits, and ensures compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP and other relevant standards.
The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert, represent the financial reporting function in client and auditor interactions, and lead continuous enhancement of the operating model to deliver greater efficiency, consistency and robust controls.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as lead subject matter expert in financial reporting, providing technical guidance on complex accounting issues and ensuring teams are up to date with developments in GAAP.
* Oversee the preparation of annual, quarterly and ad-hoc financial statements for investment funds.
* Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors and addressing queries.
* Ensure robust controls are applied throughout the financial reporting process, including internal reviews and quality assurance of statements.
* Support new fund launches, including review of first financial statements.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering a consistently high level of service.
* Provide financial reporting expertise in support of business development activities.
* Lead ongoing process improvement and contribute to the design and delivery of a target operating model.
* Oversee regulatory reporting requirements, including Irish Financial Regulatory filings.
* Manage and develop financial reporting teams across the region, ensuring effective performance management, career development and succession planning.
Candidate Profile
* ACA qualified with 15+ years’ experience in financial reporting for funds, or audit of fund clients
* Strong track record in strategic or change management roles
* In-depth knowledge of the funds industry
* Excellent technical understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
* Strong communicator, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
* Strategic thinker with a solutions-focused mindset and strong attention to detail
* Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
