Cybersecurity Operations Analyst Location: Dublin Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Salary: €55,000 - €70,000** A growing financial services organisation is hiring a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to support daily security monitoring, incident handling, and regulatory compliance activities.
This position suits someone with hands-on security experience or strong IT support background who wants to progress into a more specialised cyber role within a highly regulated environment.
The Role You'll handle day-to-day operational security tasks, monitor alerts across core tooling, assist with security investigations, and support ongoing compliance activities.
Working closely with the wider information security team, you'll help protect the organisation's infrastructure while developing deeper technical and governance experience.
Key Responsibilities * Monitor and review alerts across firewalls, EDR, and IDS/IPS platforms.
* Perform tool health checks and action any required follow-ups.
* Manage and respond to security tickets, engaging with users where needed.
* Assist in initial triage of incidents and escalate as appropriate.
* Support audits by gathering technical information and evidence.
* Help maintain and update internal security standards and procedures.
* Troubleshoot issues related to tools, agents, and endpoint protections.
* Install and maintain security software across endpoints.
* Contribute to compliance activities and regulatory reporting.
* Occasionally support internal tech assessments or documentation reviews Skills & Experience * Experience in cybersecurity or IT support (helpdesk experience is an advantage).
* Familiarity with common security tools and operational processes.
* Understanding of servers, networking, virtualisation, and cloud fundamentals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
* Certifications such as Security+, CCNA, AZ-900, or AWS Fundamentals are beneficial.
* Comfort learning new tools and completing hands-on labs or self-directed study.
