Civil Supervisor
to join our growing Civils division, working on a Framework in Dublin

Role Overview
The Civil Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of all civil works associated with ESB framework projects. This includes overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality and safety standards, and managing the road opening license (ROL) process in compliance with local authority and ESB requirements.
The successful candidate will act as the key link between the site teams, subcontractors, and project management to ensure smooth delivery of works within programme and budget constraints.
What You Will Be Doing
Site Coordination & Supervision
* Oversee and coordinate daily civil works activities on multiple sites.
* Supervise subcontractors, plant, and material deliveries to ensure efficient workflow.
* Liaise with ESB representatives, clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with ESB specifications, safety regulations, and project procedures.
Quality Assurance
* Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Conduct site inspections and record keeping in line with QA/QC documentation.
* Assist with resolving any technical or quality-related issues on site.
Road Opening Licenses (ROL) & Permitting
* Prepare, submit, and manage all road opening license applications with local authorities.
* Coordinate with councils and permit-granting bodies to ensure compliance with reinstatement and traffic management requirements.
* Maintain records of permits, reinstatement certificates, and associated documentation.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
* Enforce company and ESB safety procedures, ensuring a zero-incident culture on site.
* Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident investigations.
* Ensure environmental controls and reinstatement standards are met.
Progress Reporting & Documentation
* Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports, site diaries, and photographs.
* Report progress and potential risks or delays to the Project Manager.
* Support project handover documentation and as-built records
Is this job for me?
* Minimum 5 years' experience in civil supervision, preferably within utility or ESB-related projects.
* Strong understanding of civil construction methods, reinstatement standards, and quality control.
* Experience managing Road Opening Licenses (ROLs) and liaising with local authorities would be beneficial.
* Knowledge of ESB specifications and safety standards desirable would be beneficial.
* Full, clean driving licence.
* Proficiency in MS Office and site management tools (e.g., MS Teams, SiteView, or equivalent).
