Compliance Manager Medforce are rapidly expanding and busier than ever and we as a result have a new opening for a Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organisations compliance function, ensuring that all candidate files and internal processes fully align with regulatory, contractual, and statutory requirements applicable to the Irish healthcare recruitment sector. This individual will develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance protocols and systems, manage a team of compliance officers and administrators, and ensure operational readiness for client and regulatory audits. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on safeguarding the companys reputation, upholding quality standards, and ensuring the safe and lawful placement of healthcare professionals across all service areas. It is a hybrid role based in Dublin city centre reporting into the Recruitment Manager. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and workflows that align with HSE, Tusla, HIQA, CORU, and other governing body standards. Lead the design and implementation of scalable and auditable compliance processes, ensuring consistency across the business. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external compliance matters. Manage, mentor, and support the Compliance Team to ensure consistent high-quality performance. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and skills development sessions. Ensure workloads are appropriately allocated and that SLAs for candidate clearance are consistently met or exceeded. Ensure all documentation required for candidate placement is verified, complete, current, and correctly stored, including: Garda Vetting, IRP, NVB1, application forms, qualifications, transcripts, references (Ref 1, Ref 2, Ref 3) HSELand and mandatory training certificates (e.g. Children First, Safeguarding, PMH, Infection Control, GDPR, etc.) Health clearance forms and immunisation records (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TB) Driving and vehicle compliance (licence, insurance, indemnity, registration) Monitor compliance dashboards and trackers, identifying and escalating high-risk or time-sensitive files as necessary. Conduct regular internal audits and spot checks on compliance files to ensure audit readiness. Lead on audit responses, preparing detailed documentation and managing follow-up actions. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced record-keeping. Collaborate with Recruitment and Operations teams to address and pre-empt compliance risks. Liaise with senior management to report on compliance KPIs, risk assessments, and performance trends. Serve as the organisations representative in external audits and inspections. Maintain effective working relationships with external training bodies, vetting authorities, and regulatory agencies. Required Qualifications and Experience Minimum 5 years experience in compliance or quality assurance, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Proven experience working in a regulated industry (preferably healthcare, education, or recruitment). In-depth understanding of Irish regulatory and statutory requirements, including GDPR, Children First, HIQA standards, HSE protocols, and healthcare credentialing. Demonstrable experience implementing and managing compliance systems and training programmes. Strong working knowledge of document control systems, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel. Stakeholder engagement and client communication High levels of discretion and professional integrity Desirable Attributes Qualification in Compliance, HR, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Familiarity with HSELand modules and credentialing pathways for healthcare professionals in Ireland. Experience with CRM or ATS systems relevant to recruitment or compliance (e.g., Bullhorn, Cliniko, or bespoke platforms). Audit or ISO 9001 experience a strong advantage.
