Overview
Senior Manager, Agile Sourcing, Global Products, Development & Supply (GPS) is a procurement leadership role focused on source-to-contract activities within GPS categories such as External Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Development and/or Direct Materials. The role reports to the Director, GPS Agile Sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the source-to-contract operations across GPS categories
* Foster cross-functional proficiencies of resources and procurement categories
* Develop and leverage deep knowledge of GPS Categories, Suppliers and Ways of Working
* Implement contract terms and conditions, negotiation best practices and BMS Standard Operating Procedures
* Oversee and lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting processes in support of operations across commercial categories
* Act as an expert facilitator to manage complex sourcing events from end-to-end (RFI/RFP): prepare and solicit competitive bids, evaluate offerings, assess supplier information, conduct negotiations and communicate decisions
* Drive and manage contracts through the lifecycle from understanding deal complexities to drafting, negotiating, redlining, finalization, distribution, signatures and storage
* Coordinate with business stakeholders, procurement partners and subject matter experts (e.g., Legal, Cybersecurity/IT, Data Privacy, Quality) to ensure timely and compliant contracting
* Maintain awareness of pre-contracting steps and related BMS policies and procedures
* Act as escalation point within the Agile Sourcing team to provide guidance on substantive sourcing and contracting issues
* Performance Management & Continuous Improvement for Source to Contract
* Review team performance and identify trends for continuous improvement to enhance operational effectiveness and standardization
* Share best practices with the Agile Sourcing team to align with SOPs and protocols
* Collaborate with procurement and Legal to improve contracting processes, including updates to contract templates and negotiation guidance
* Participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives within procurement
Qualifications & Experience
* B.S./B.A. in a relevant field
* Minimum of 4-6 years’ procurement, sourcing and contracting experience, including familiarity with Master Services Agreements
* Minimum 2-4 years’ experience managing a direct team and leading cross-functional, multicultural teams
* Experience in contract construction and terms, with preference for pharma/biotech buy-side contracts
* Direct people management experience with growth mindset, mentoring and coaching abilities
* Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management technology (e.g., Icertis) to automate and streamline processes

* Procurement process and agreement management, financial and market analysis, supplier management and strategic planning
* Excellent written and verbal communication with strong stakeholder engagement
* Adaptability in ambiguous, complex environments and ability to lead cross-functional teams
* Strong leadership for projects and problem-solving initiatives
