Project Manager
We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to lead our construction projects as Project Manager.
This is a high-profile opportunity to manage new-build apartments from the ground up, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.
The Role:
* Coordinate and monitor construction drawings, specifications, and work requirements, maintaining a keen eye for detail.
* Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed in accordance with the programme, promoting effective collaboration and communication.
* Report directly to the Contracts Manager, providing regular updates on project progress and any emerging issues.
* Direct and manage personnel, site staff, and subcontractors, fostering a positive working environment and encouraging teamwork.
* Oversee construction to guarantee quality of work, coordinating with the Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and Service Coordinators to provide accurate and timely information.
* Maintain liaison with local authorities as required, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
* Identify and mitigate any issues that may arise during the construction phase, collaborating with the design team and architect to minimize delays and optimize project outcomes.
Requirements:
* Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third-level qualification) is essential, demonstrating a strong foundation in construction principles and practices.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager with a Main Contractor, showcasing expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery.
* Background in engineering is desirable, highlighting a deep understanding of construction methodologies and technical requirements.
* Proven ability to effectively manage site programmes and associated schedules, ensuring timely completion and exceeding client expectations.
* Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time, promoting seamless coordination and minimizing potential conflicts.
* Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint, coupled with excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
