Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all relevant regulatory and corporate EHS requirements.
Main Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the Permit to Work system.
* Ensure compliance with EHS regulations related to PSCS/PSDP responsibilities for construction activities.
* Deliver EHS inductions to contractors and project personnel.
* Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Prepare and maintain EHS reports, records, and statistics.
* SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF EHS MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES.
* Conduct risk assessments and monitor the implementation of control measures.
* Monitor compliance with legislative and corporate EHS standards, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
* Assist in the development and coordination of emergency response procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Environmental discipline. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 35 years' experience in an EHS role, preferably in a construction environment within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical sector. Strong working knowledge of Irish EHS legislation, especially related to construction projects, is essential.
