Restaurant Manager Location: 4-Star Hotel, Kildare Salary: €38,000 - €43,000 (DOE) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a 4-star hotel in County Kildare, for the position of Restaurant Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to take the lead in managing the daily operations of a busy hotel restaurant.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong focus on service excellence, staff development, and operational efficiency.
You will play a key role in ensuring a memorable guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of service and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Lead the restaurant team to deliver exceptional guest service and dining experiences.
Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
Support the General Manager on key departmental projects and business objectives.
Recommend and implement improvements in menus, promotions, and service delivery.
Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu pricing and food cost control.
Assist in managing budgets, inventory, and staffing plans.
Provide coaching, training, and support to team members to ensure consistent performance.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and company standards.
Maintain clear communication with other departments and hotel leadership.
Key Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience in a restaurant management or senior supervisory role in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, control food costs, and forecast accurately.
Experience with POS systems and hotel operational software.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment.
Access to own transport.
Hospitality or business-related qualification desirable (not essential).
Proficiency in Excel, stock control, or inventory software.
Understanding of yield management and cost-saving initiatives.
