12 Month Contract

Based in Limerick.

On-Site Initially, then Hybrid approximately 3 Days Per Week.

The role's purpose is to support the creation of an overall supply plan for the specific plant(s) and third-party suppliers within the franchise scope. The role will interface with production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to ensure an integrated approach to supply planning within the franchise. The individual will take the lead in responding to the demand requirements from the business, ensuring that a supply plan is in place to communicate what needs to be produced and purchased to the manufacturing and supply base within the franchise.

What you will do:

1. Support the creation of a Master Resource Plan based on the latest demand signal to cover what needs to be produced or purchased as finished products, ensuring sufficient raw materials and components are available to support the supply plan up to a 24-month horizon.
2. Support capacity planning based on the latest demand signal to identify potential bottlenecks or risks to supply, developing and recommending mitigation proposals to ensure the plant or third-party can meet future demand. Identify underutilization that could impact supply costs.
3. Initially scope responsibilities to a limited number of products/segments, with close monitoring and coaching during the development phase.
4. Work under the supervision of the Supply Planning Manager to set appropriate inventory levels (safety stocks) by understanding demand volatility and supply chain lead times.
5. Track the execution of the supply plan with production scheduling and purchasing, ensuring the plan is operationalized and performance deviations are managed, including mitigation of back orders and proactive communication of future supply risks.
6. Ensure products are phased in and planned correctly, and manage communication and timing for exiting products within the plant or third-party. Communicate product portfolio status from a supply planning perspective.
7. Assist the Supply Planning Manager in providing effective communication and confirmation from supply planning to the demand plan, confirming capability to meet requirements through daily, weekly, and monthly processes.
8. Maintain all core supply planning system master data to focus on real supply issues.
9. Monitor KPIs such as Supply Plan Attainment, Safety Stock Health, Capacity Utilization, Back Orders, and Lead Time.
10. Identify root causes of performance issues and recommend mitigation strategies to the Supply Planning Manager/leader.

What you will need:

1. Degree level 8 in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
2. Minimum of 2 years in a production, supply, or demand planning role with demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning.
3. Experience with IT planning systems, including SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
4. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
