Main Responsibilities

* Manage conference, events and private dining business from enquiry stage through to conversion, including client liaison and function sheet preparation, client follow up, feedback and payment.
* Achieve maximum potential revenue for the areas and meet budget.
* Ensure a consistent flow of information within the office and amongst other departments within the hotel.
* Process reservations, cancellations and modifications promptly.
* Handle guest enquiries relating to the hotel including reservations, dining, and general queries in a competent and efficient manner.
* Respond to all guest/prospective guest enquiries by email in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
* Describe accurately all bedrooms, services and facilities in the hotel and be fully familiar with all room rates and service/facility rates offered.
* Proactively sell bedrooms at the best rate possible, ensuring opportunities to upsell (upgrades, dinner, activities, etc.) are maximised.
* Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of standards of performance and delivery within the Rooms department.
* Provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
* Be aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special events.
* Answer the switchboard in a friendly and engaging manner, directing calls appropriately.
