Teamworx are delighted to be recruiting a HR Duty Manager for our client, a large retailer based in North Dublin.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for HR professionals who enjoys being close to people, operations, and the day-to-day running of a busy environment.
This is not a desk-based HR role — you'll be out on the shop floor, working directly with managers and teams, supporting real-time people challenges, and helping to create a positive, high-performing workplace.
You'll play a key role in supporting store leadership, developing colleagues, and ensuring HR best practice is embedded across all areas of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
Acting as a go-to HR partner on-site, supporting managers and colleagues with day-to-day people matters
Coaching and supporting team leaders to get the best from their teams
Playing an active role in recruitment, onboarding, and training
Supporting performance management, including handling absence, disciplinaries, and grievances
Helping to build a strong team culture and engagement through communication and initiatives
Monitoring key HR metrics (e.g. attendance, training completion) and taking action where needed
Supporting workforce planning, scheduling, and labour efficiency
Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
Getting involved in store operations when required — including opening/closing and floor support
What's on offer:
Salary up to €48k
Performance related Bonus
Comprehensive training and development programmes
What Makes This Role Different
Highly hands-on and people-facing — you'll be out with teams, not just behind a desk
A mix of HR and operational exposure, giving you a well-rounded experience
Real opportunity to influence culture, engagement, and performance
Fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
Strong development pathway for someone looking to grow their HR career
What We're Looking For
1–3 years' experience in HR or a people-focused role
A relevant qualification in HR, Business, or similar (or working towards one)
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with people at all levels
A proactive, energetic approach — someone who enjoys being on the ground and involved
Ability to coach, support, and challenge managers when needed
Organised with good attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
Nice to Have
Experience in retail, hospitality, or another fast-moving environment
Exposure to employee relations (disciplinary, grievance, absence management)
HR qualification (e.g. CIPD or equivalent)
