This is ahands-on accounts administration and compliance support role, focused onpractice operations, client file management, bookkeeping checks, and year-end preparationacross a portfolio of SME clients.This role is not suitable for part-qualified accountants seeking progression to accountant or advisory-level work.The role isadmin-heavy and compliance-focused, requiring strong organisational skills and priorpractice experience.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging multiple client files within a professional accountancy practiceSupporting year-end accounts preparation by collating documentation and preparing files for reviewPerforming practice-level bookkeeping checks, including:Bank reconciliationsTrial balance (TB) checksDebtors and creditors reviewsAssisting with practice compliance requirements, including:CRA (Client Risk Assessment)KYC / AML documentationROS administration and filingsPreparing and maintaining client records, working papers, and compliance filesDrafting and issuing client correspondence and standard practice lettersMonitoring practice deadlines and ensuring timely completion of administrative tasksSupporting partners and senior staff with general accounts administration and compliance tasksMust-Have Criteria (Non-Negotiable – Used as Screening Filters)Candidatesmust meet allof the following:Minimum 1 year experience in an Accountancy Practice Industry-only backgrounds will not be consideredDemonstrated understanding of:Managing multiple client filesPractice deadlines and workflowsYear-end accounts processesCompliance requirements (CRA, KYC, ROS)Practice-level bookkeeping and admin experience, including:Bank reconciliationsTrial balance checksDebtors / creditors reviewsYear-end file preparationComfortable in a highly administrative, compliance-focused roleStrong organisational, documentation, and file management skillsLiving within reasonable commuting distance of Co.
