Senior Engineering Director of Research and Development
The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of catheter-based and other mechanical systems for medical devices. A strong understanding of mechanical principles and their application to medical device development is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop innovative products through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Lead technical innovation and provide strategic direction across the department.
* IDentify, assess, and mitigate technical risks early and throughout the development lifecycle.
A Level 8 Engineering degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent, with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience is necessary. Proven expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals, along with a track record of device design and risk mitigation, is also required.
Requirements:
* Expertise in mechanical engineering principles and device design.
* Demonstrated ability to manage technical risk through deep mechanical insight.
* Experience in medical device product development.
