Science Technician (Term-Time Only) Larne Grammar School Start Date: 25th August 2025 Salary: NJC Scale 58 (£24,790£25,992 pro rata) Working hours: 36 hours/week (MonFri) Closing date: 11am, Tuesday 24 June 2025 We are seeking a Science Technician to support the practical delivery of science education at Larne Grammar School. This is a term-time only position, ideal for someone with a passion for science, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to safety. Essential Criteria: 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English, Maths, and a Science subject). Working knowledge of health & safety and risk assessments. Excellent planning and attention to detail. Desirable: A Level in a science subject Previous similar laboratory experience Familiarity of CLEAPSS Experience of organising and scheduling work Strong ICT skills Post-primary school experience Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain lab equipment and materials. Support teachers during science lessons and practicals. Maintain health and safety standards. Assist with stock control, ordering, and administration.
