Copius Group is excited to announce an open position for an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor in the South West of Ireland.
As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in project delivery, working closely with the Surveying Manager and Contracts Manager. You will manage all commercial aspects of projects alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver innovative projects.
Responsibilities:
* Validate tenders following project award in collaboration with the Project Manager/Director.
* Prepare and update the CCS for projects in consultation with the Project Manager/Director.
* Analyze billing and cost timing to prepare cash flow forecasts.
* Compile monthly reports according to Group standards.
* Conduct site measurements and prepare interim valuations, including labour, materials, plant, equipment, and escalation.
* Monitor site progress to ensure timely claims submission and agreement for loss and expense recovery.
* Highlight shortfalls to the Commercial Manager.
* Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings.
* Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence.
* Manage client invoicing, submission, and tracking.
* Coordinate with the Financial Department on project reporting and financials.
* Resolve client and subcontractor disputes.
* Monitor procurement activities with regular reports.
* Assist in training and mentoring less experienced surveyors.
* Review contract specifications and scopes to identify and mitigate risks with the Project Manager.
This role offers exposure to sectors such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, data centres, and construction. The successful candidate will be supported in developing skills and progressing towards Chartered Status.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering.
* Trade background is advantageous.
* Experience in construction or pharmaceutical industries is beneficial.
* 5-10 years post-qualification experience in electrical contracting.
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
