Job Description
To maximise the quality of life outcomes for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge via evidence-based behaviour analytic casework.
To assist staff in adopting evidence-based support approaches and effectively supporting service users with behaviours that challenge.
To increase the capacity of Rehab services to effectively support people with behaviour support needs through ongoing service development activities.
To facilitate an evidence-based practice framework in the support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Functional Assessment: Lead comprehensive functional behavioural assessments to identify function-based interventions and supports.
* Implementation Support: Design and implement function-based interventions that are evidence-based and contextually relevant.
* Collaborative Working & Stakeholder Involvement: Work collaboratively with service users, staff, and multi-agency teams throughout the behaviour support process.
Requirements:
* Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent.
* Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification desirable.
* Minimum three years' experience working in behaviour support roles, carrying out functional assessments, and supporting social care or educational staff teams.
* Knowledge of current best practice in behaviour support and evidence-based practice for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
