Commercial Finance Manager Role
Job Description
The role of a Commercial Finance Manager is fundamental to our organisation's success. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for controlling and understanding all costs, risks, and benefits associated with selling through distributors.

Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly accruals in close cooperation with Trading Controllers
* Consolidating distributor sales reports into a global report
* Analysing distributor data and information to verify costs are valid
* Developing a thorough understanding of distributor contracts and their terms
* Maintenance of the Master Data Costings file and creation of new cost of goods as required by the business
* Development of a product P&L template for each market to build new product pricing and implementing a consistent process for evaluating new opportunities
* REBATES deductions from gross to net revenue
* All trade terms to be monitored and reconciled to rebate control workbook and any discrepancies investigated and reconciled without delay in conjunction with Trading Controller/Trading Managers
* Management and full understanding of monthly rebate accrual calculation, trade promotion accrual calculation, WAP accrual calculation, distributor bonus accrual calculation, and miscellaneous deduction accrual calculation
* Monthly NIV reports to be updated and distributed in timely fashion
* Other ad hoc reports that may arise to be maintained and distributed as required
* Work closely with Trading Manager when preparing commercials for entry into a new market
* Commercials must only come from Commercial Accountant for final presentation to MD/Sales Director with full backup/understanding of methodology and pricing used
* Evaluation of existing products for changing circumstances, COGs, RRPs, market conditions, etc.
* Profitability modelsCreate and maintain (quarterly) a Retailer Profitability file for each core Market
Update and maintain transfer pricing documents and ensure each Distributor contract has an up-to-date and accurate price list
Maintenance of the Master Data Costings file and creator of new Cost of Goods as required by the business

Requirements and Skills
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and experience in financial management and analysis. A degree in finance or a related field is preferred.
