Location: Ballymascanlon House, Ballymascanlon
Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is currently recruiting for a Commis Chef to join the team. The Ballymascanlon Hotel is a four‑star property set on 130 acres of parkland, with a Victorian house that forms the heart of the hotel and dates back to 833 A.D.
Responsibilities
* To prepare meal ingredients, including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables and fruits
* Daily preparation of fresh sandwiches and soups
* To set up for lunch and dinner according to Chef de Partie’s instruction
* To ensure that food from own station is delivered on time
* To perform basic cleaning duties and ensure workstations are properly sanitised according to HACCP regulations
Requirements
* Previous experience as a kitchen assistant/commis chef and/or suitable qualification
* Knowledge of food health and safety regulations
* Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification or current student of Culinary Arts
* Have a passion and genuine interest in food
* Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Good command of the English language
